The Callout (2018)

The Callout

"That's it I'm going to say something to them about this."

The callout-that magnificent moment where you do justly call someone out on their bullshit. It could be your spouse, significant other, parents, friends, or that internet phenom you love to hate but we all know the moment I speak of. We are always so willing to call someone else out on their shit. We call them out on their flaws, their wrongs, their stupidity, their laziness, lack of effort, etc. HOWEVER do you call YOURSELF out on YOUR shit?

Think about it honestly for a moment. DO YOU CALL YOURSELF OUT? Do you call yourself out when you want to skip that workout, eat that donut, skip the precooked meal and order a large pizza, put your cell phone down to enjoy time with your family??? The list goes on and on and on but do you do it? What's your response when SOMEONE ELSE calls you out on your shit? You get defensive and angry don't you? You know why? Because you're angry and defensive because they saw it in you! You thought you hid it so well yet they bring it up! And that is what pisses us off about it!

Let's face it! We all know all of our own shortcomings. We know where we aren't sticking to what's best for us and we know when we are taking the easy way out. WE OURSELVES KNOW WHAT IS HOLDING US BACK from what we want and think we deserve. And you know what that is??? IT'S US. WE HOLD OURSELF BACK! We ignore our shortcomings and try to hide them, we pretend we have it all figured out when we haven't got a fucking clue, we act like it's no big deal when we skip doing the 25 things we have to do to get us towards our goal.

So here's my challenge..... stop being so eager to call everyone else out on their shit. When that time comes think about all the shit you haven't called YOURSELF out on recently and reflect on that. Let's face it.... we as people are only as good as we PUSH OURSELVES TO BE. You want to be great? Want to be a role model? Want to be THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF??? It comes from SELF IMPROVEMENT. Make personal development your goal and call yourself out on your own shortcomings. I think you're going to be happier in the long run. Don't be the person that has everyone else's life figured out meanwhile yours is a fucking mess.
